2005 NEWS
The Muszyna Almanac, published under the auspices of the Friends
of Muszyna Society (FMS) (or TMZM in Polish), informs us that on the
2nd of July 2005 (Saturday), during the XV Meeting of the Friends of
the Muszyna Almanac, scholarships were awarded for the academic year
2005-2006, funded by the Friends of the Muszyna Almanac. The grounds
for awarding scholarships will be confirmed by the TMZM (FMS) Committee
on the day of 27 March 2004.
An annual educational scholarship of 350 zlotys per month for
the student attending the Muszyna General High School who will achieve
the highest mark in the Baccalaureat test and take up daytime masters
studies in the 2005-2006 academic year. The candidate is to be nominated
by the Muszyna High School Education Committee.
Five socio-educational scholarships, known as bridging scholarships,
in the amount of 350 zlotys per month, payable from October 2005 till
June 2006. These scholarships may be awarded to alumni of the Muszyna
High School, who are members of families where per capita earnings do
not exceed 0.7 of the minimum wage, and who have achieved an average
grade at the Baccalaureat exam higher than 4.0 and will be going on
to study for a masters. This scholarship is being jointly financed by
the Education Enterprise Fund in Lódź.
Five candidates are to be nominated by the Muszyna High School
Education Committee.
Four annual educational scholarships for exceptional pupils attending
the Muszyna High School, in the sum of 300, 250 and two for 200 zlotys
per month. These scholarships are being jointly financed by the Batory
Foundation in Warsaw.
Seven candidates for these scholarships are to be nominated by the
20th of June 2004 by the Muszyna High School Education Committee.
On the 2nd of July 2005 at 10.00am interviews will be held with all
the candidates at the Muszyna High School, with the Scholarship Committee.
The Scholarship Committee is headed by Witold Kaliński, the former Director
of the Rejtan General High School in Warsaw, and Małgorzata Przyboś
is secretary.
Two ten-month educational scholarships for exceptional students who
are members of the Wyszehradzki Youth Clubs - students or alumni of
grammar-schools in Stara Lubowla (two scholarships).
Candidates are nominated by the Scholarship Committee appointed by
the Amos Association in Stara Lubowla , chaired by Aleksander Lesko,
Head Teacher at the Stara Lubowla grammar-school. The committee secretary
is Lucia Gerthoferova,, who is in charge of the Wyszehradzki Youth Club
in Stara Lubowla.
Three annual educational scholarships for prizewinners of the artistic
competition for students of the Muszyna Music Schools from the Muszyna
and Krynica regions, in the sum of 300, 250, 200 and 150 zlotys per
month. The Scholarships are being jointly financed by the Batory Foundation
in Warsaw.
The Nowy Sącz and Krynica Music School Educational Committees will
nominate eight to ten candidates to take part in the competition from
among outstanding pupils in the Muszyna and Krynica regions by the 10th
June 2004.
A public concert featuring candidates for the scholarship will take
place on 1st July 2004 at 5 pm at the Krynica Music School. Guests will
include members of the XIV Meeting of the Friends of the Muszyna Almanac.
The Scholarship Committee is being chaired by the composer Zbigniew
Bujarski from Krakow, and the secretary is Magdalena Małecka-Myślik.
Three annual socio-educational scholarships for exceptional pupils
(average grade 4.5), whose families find themselves in difficult circumstances
financially, and who are currently attending the Muszyna, Złockie and
Powroźnik grammar schools. Scholarships in the amount of: one set at
200 zlotys and three at 150 zlotys.
Candidates will be nominated by the Muszyna Grammar School Educational
Committee, and one candidate each to be nominated by the Grammar School
Education Committees in Powroźnik and Złóckie by 20th June 2004. Interviews
with candidates will take place with the Scholarship Committee on 2nd
July 2004 at 10.00am at the Muszyna High School. The Scholarship Committee
is chaired by Witold Kaliński, formerly the head of the Rejtana General
High School in Warsaw. The secretary will be Małgorzata Przyboś.
