Each year, on the first Saturday of July, a meeting takes place in the garden of the "Wanda" guesthouse in Muszyna of all the Friends of the Muszyna Almanac as well as contributing authors and other friends.

The first meeting took place in 1991 on the occasion of the issue of the first edition of the Muszyna Almanac, and involved 7 people. The 1st of July 2000, saw the X anniversary meeting of the Friends of the Muszyna Almanac, which had over 200 people taking part from many towns in Poland as well as the United States and Slovakia. The meetings are a means of promoting the next annual volume as well as an opportunity to keep in touch with people linked to the region and to make new contacts. For the last few years the meetings have been held with a given theme in mind, and those taking part dress appropriately:

MUSZYNA
The traditional meeting on the first Saturday in July in the garden, saw several hundred people taking part in the XIV Meeting of the Friends of the Muszyna Almanac, which this year was entitled the Olympics Day. The occasion was to promote the XIV annual volume of the Muszyna Almanac, as well as to confer grants to talented youth. As tradition dictates, the fans of Muszyna and the "Almanac" which has been issued there for the past 14 years, meet on the first Saturday in July in the Gardens of the "Wanda". Once a year sees the arrival of local inhabitants of the spa town, and Muszyna folk scattered around Poland and abroad. This year saw the old stalwarts - the Hungarians and the Slovaks. The longest journey made, all the way from Canada, was by a couple who have their family roots in Muszyna. The meeting was hosted by Ryszard Kruk together with his wife Bożena Mściwujewska-Kruk.

Guests of Honour at the meetings of the Friends of the Muszyna Almanac

During the meetings, the title of Guest of Honour is conferred on people who have in the past and continue to serve the Town and the District of Muszyna in a particular way. Recipients of this illustrious title in recent years have been:

• 1997 Lucja Bukowska for her 25 year service running the Local Library in Muszyna
  
• 1998 Adam Ziemianin for 20 years of creative work
  
• 2000 Julian Semczyszak for his services as village leader in Andrzejówka
  
• 2001 Juliusz Jaronczyk for 50 years of model making
  
• 2002 Henryk Wioniewski, on his 60th birthday
  
• 2003 Friends from Stara Lubowla
  
  

To mark the occasion of the issue of the X annual volume of the Muszyna Almanac, as well as the X Meeting of the Friends of the Muszyna Almanac, the Polish Post Office issued a special occasion correspondence card and used a special date stamp on the 1st of July 2000.
